Job summary

Aruma is seeking a caring Support Worker to assist participants to live independently in home settings. This casual role involves empowering individuals, encouraging participation in daily activities, and supporting dignity and choice.

You will work across a 24/7 roster, including weekends and overnights where required, with a focus on respectful, person-centred care and building meaningful connections in the community.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification is required.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) is required.

Responsibilities

• Empower and encourage participants to develop skills and achieve goals.
• Provide personal care with dignity, including hygiene, meals, and daily tasks.
• Build connections through hobbies, social activities, and community events.
• Champion inclusion and create a welcoming, supportive environment.
• Celebrate progress and recognise achievements with participants.
• Maintain accurate, timely records to support high-quality care.
