Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking dedicated care workers to support clients with complex needs. You will work closely with clients, families, and clinicians to deliver mobility assistance, daily tasks, and individualized plans.

Shifts are flexible with the ability to cover varied hours; you’ll build genuine relationships and help clients achieve independence and meaningful engagement within the community.

What you’ll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.


• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan


• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.


• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.


• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.


• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Who we’re looking for

• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.


• Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.


• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.

• Additional skills: complex bowel management, catheter management, wound management and mobility support, epilepsy management, traumatic brain injury management and severe dysphagia management

What are the shifts?

Initially Tuesdays 9:45am-12:45pm and Thursdays 8am-11am, with opportunity to increase hours and days as well as leave coverage.
