Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking casual disability support workers across sites in Frankston, Mornington, and Hastings. You will provide person-centered support, mobility assistance, and daily living tasks to clients with complex needs in a caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates) to understand goals and routines.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices as outlined in the plan.
• Monitor and support medical needs: observe changes, follow plans, liaise with care team.
• Provide social time and participation: create meaningful activities aligned with client interests.
• Support autonomy and advocacy: respect consent and promote independence where possible.
• Respect and reflect the client’s cultural backgrounds, beliefs, and values.

What you’ll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
