Job summary

Claro Disability Services in Australia is seeking compassionate disability-support workers to provide person-centered care to clients with complex needs. You’ll tailor supports to individual goals, and work with families and healthcare teams.

Shifts are flexible, with mornings and other times, and you’ll build meaningful relationships beyond checklists. Training and onboarding are provided, along with a supportive clinical team.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in complex care, disability and health nuances.
• Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to different styles.
• Reliable, professional with good note-taking and teamwork.
• Willingness to be flexible with shifts.

Responsibilities

• Person-centered planning: chat with the client and family/advocates to understand goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks and devices as outlined in the plan.
• Medical supports: monitor changes, follow med/clinical plans, liaise with the care team.
• Social time and participation: bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being.

Shift Times

Tuesday and Thursday 630-830am.

What you’ll do (*tailored to each client as required*)

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
