Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking caring disability support workers to assist clients with complex needs across daily living, mobility and health tasks. You will tailor supports to each client’s goals, routines and culture, while collaborating with families, medical professionals and other staff.

Shifts are flexible to fit your life, enabling meaningful relationships beyond checklists and ensuring comprehensive, compassionate care.

Shifts available

• Fortnightly Mon 0730-1400
• Fortnightly Fri 0730-1400

What you’ll do (*tailored to each client as required*)

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.

• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
