Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking a compassionate care worker to support clients with complex needs in a flexible shift role. You will work closely with families, clinicians, and other support workers to implement person-centered plans and ensure safe mobility, daily tasks, and meaningful social activities.

Ideal candidates are warm, patient, and collaborative, with a focus on independence and dignity for clients, and are comfortable adjusting to changing needs and shifts.

What you’ll do (*tailored to each client as required*)

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Shift Time:

Thursdays Ongoing vacancy 10am to 3pm weekly

• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.

• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.

• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
