Claro Disability Services seeks compassionate carers to support people with complex needs to live independently. You will tailor supports to individual goals, collaborate with families and medical professionals, and help with mobility, daily tasks, and clinical plans.

Flexible Thursday shifts (10am–3pm) and a welcoming, values-led team provide meaningful, community-focused work with real impact and opportunities to grow within the organisation.

What you'll do (*tailored to each client as required*)

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being

Thursdays Ongoing vacancy 10am to 3pm weekly

• A person-centered, warm, patient, and genuinely caring soul.
• Interest or experience in complex care, disability, and health nuances.
• Great communicator: listens well, reads cues, and adapts to different styles.
• Reliable and professional, with good notetaking and teamwork.
• Flexible and adaptable; comfortable with changing needs and shifts.

• Optional but nice: Manual handling, epilepsy management, or disability-support training.
