Job summary

Claro Disability Services is seeking a compassionate support worker for community-based roles in Sydney. You will assist with mobility, daily tasks, and participate in meaningful activities while coordinating with families and clinical teams.

You’ll tailor supports to each client’s goals and routines, ensure safety, and foster independence, respect culture, and communication in a fast-paced, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

What you’ll do (*tailored to each client as required*)

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.
• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan
• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.
• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.
• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.
• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
