Calvary Mirridong in Bendigo VIC is seeking a casual or fixed-term part-time Support Worker - Catering to help deliver healthy meals for residents. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to provide a high-quality catering service to residents.

The role involves preparing daily meals, accommodating dietary needs, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment in accordance with food safety standards.

Qualificações

• Hold a current Food Handlers Certificate.
• Demonstrate good food safety knowledge and practices.
• Be able to follow dietary requirements and cultural preferences.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with daily meal preparation under Chef direction.
• Prepare meals and beverages meeting residents' dietary needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the dining and kitchen areas.
• Adhere to National Food Safety Program and documentation.

About the role

As a Support worker - Catering you will make a difference each and every day in providing healthy, hearty and delicious meals prepared by our Chef. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will support the Chef/ Chef Manager and your team to deliver a high quality catering service to our residents.

Both Casual and fixed term part time roles available.

Your main duties will include:

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook.
• Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination.
• Serve nutritious meals in well-presented manner and at the appropriate temperature
• Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal services as per the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide.
