Calvary St Pauls Retirement Community in Cundletown, NSW seeks a casual Support Worker - Catering to assist in preparing meals and beverages for residents, while respecting dietary, religious, and cultural needs. You will work under the Chef/Cook, contributing to safe, nutritious food service in a reputable health care setting.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal communication, both written and verbal.

• Knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
• Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment.
• Experience in food preparation and food safety desirable.
• Food Handling Certificate desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook.
• Prepare daily meals and beverages meeting residents' dietary needs and cultural preferences.
• Ensure environmental service standards and resident areas are clean and safe.
• Follow the National Food Safety Program and maintain food safety records to prevent cross contamination.
• Maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment for residents.

About the role

The Support Worker - Catering will ensure a supportive environment where residents are encouraged to express their food preferences and choice, whilst ensuring that food is nutritious and prepared in alignment with appropriate standards. Catering support workers will do all that they can to support cultural, religious and dietary preferences in preparation and food service to ensure that resident satisfaction is maintained.

Calvary St Pauls Retirement Community provides a 40 bed accommodation, over looking the beautiful Manning River.

We have an exciting casual opportunity available - A range of AM and PM shifts, tell us what you're looking for!

Key Responsibilities

• Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
• Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook
• Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination
