Job summary

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a compassionate Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide regular in-home support to an older female client in Liverpool, NSW. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals and light domestic tasks while communicating confidently in Arabic and English and following the client’s care plan.

This casual temporary role offers ongoing shifts, flexible arrangements and the chance to help a client maintain independence at home.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate confidently in Arabic and English.
• Experience in aged care, disability, home care or community support.
• Certificate III in relevant care fields is highly regarded.
• Current National Police Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance.
• Current working rights in Australia.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to complete accurate progress notes.
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home, person-centred support to help the client stay safe and independent.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation and light domestic tasks.
• Showering, dressing and grooming support, laundry and changing bed linen.
• Shopping assistance and social support, including accompany to appointments or activities.
• Monitor wellbeing and report changes; complete progress notes after each visit.
• Follow the client’s care plan and preferences; maintain dignity and culture-aware care.

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable and experienced Arabic-speaking Support Worker to provide regular in-home support to an older female client.

Due to the client’s personal care requirements, privacy, cultural preferences and communication needs, a worker who can communicate confidently in Arabic and English is required for this service.

About the Role

The successful Support Worker will provide respectful, person-centred support to assist the client to remain safe, comfortable and independent in her own home.

Regular duties may include:

• Assistance with personal care and activities of daily living
• Showering and personal hygiene assistance
• Dressing and grooming support
• Assistance with safe mobility around the home
• Light domestic assistance
• General household cleaning
• Laundry and changing bed linen
• Meal preparation
• Shopping assistance
• Social support and companionship
• Accompanying the client to appointments or community activities where required
• Supporting the client to maintain independence and participate in daily activities
• Monitoring the client’s wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
• Completing accurate progress notes after each service
• Following the client’s individual care plan, preferences and goals

Applicants should have:

• Ability to communicate confidently in Arabic and English
• Previous experience in aged care, disability, home care or community support
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly regarded
• Current National Police Check
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
