Job summary

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking an experienced Arabic-speaking Physiotherapist to provide weekly home visits for an aged care client in their home. You will assess mobility and develop personalized exercise programs to support independence and falls prevention.

Required AHPRA registration, ability to speak Arabic and English, and experience in home or community aged care. A current National Police Check and professional indemnity/public liability insurance are required.

Arabic-Speaking Physiotherapist – Weekly Home Care Visits

Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking an experienced Arabic-speaking Physiotherapist to provide weekly physiotherapy visits to an aged care client in their home.

The successful Physiotherapist must have experience working in community aged care or home care and be confident providing assessment, treatment and ongoing mobility support to older people.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide weekly physiotherapy visits in the client’s home
• Complete mobility, strength, balance and functional assessments
• Develop and review individualised exercise programs
• Support mobility, transfers, strength and falls prevention
• Monitor changes in the client’s physical condition
• Provide education and recommendations to the client and family
• Complete progress notes after each visit
• Provide reports and recommendations to the Care Manager when required
• Escalate any significant changes or safety concerns

Applicants must have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
• Ability to speak Arabic and English
• Previous experience in home care, community aged care or working with older people
• Current National Police Check
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Public liability insurance where applicable
• Reliable vehicle
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in the community

Experience in falls prevention, mobility rehabilitation, musculoskeletal conditions and supporting older clients with reduced mobility will be highly regarded.

This is a regular weekly service, with the opportunity for additional community physiotherapy shift.
