Job description

As a Support Worker with our Annerley NDIS team, you'll have the opportunity to make a practical difference in someone's day, while supporting them to build confidence, independence and greater connection with their community.

This is hands-on, person-centered work where no two shifts are exactly the same. One day you might be supporting someone to get out and about in the community, the next helping with daily living, building practical skills or working towards a personal goal that matters to them. What stays consistent is the focus on choice, dignity and supporting people to live life in the way that feels right for them.

You'll also be joining a team that values good support, strong relationships and working together. With a mix of weekday and weekend shifts, the role offers variety, flexibility and the chance to build meaningful connections while developing your skills in the disability and mental health sector.

If you're reliable, compassionate and enjoy working alongside people to help them achieve what matters to them, this could be a great fit.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person centered support with daily living, personal care and community access, helping clients work towards their individual goals and maintain independence.
  • Build positive and respectful relationships with clients, supporting choice, dignity and meaningful participation in everyday life.
  • Contribute to a positive team and program culture grounded in RFQ's values of empowerment, trust, compassion, resilience and respect.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client records using digital systems and work in line with organisational policies, procedures and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with your team through open communication, regular team meetings and consistent handovers.
  • Respond flexibly and reliably to rostered shifts and changing client support needs.
  • Identify and report hazards, incidents and risks, and contribute to opportunities that strengthen the quality of support we provide.
  • Participate in supervision, learning and professional development to continue building your skills and confidence.
You will have:
  • Relevant experience supporting people experiencing mental health challenges to work towards their goals and build greater independence.
  • Diploma in a human services related field, Certificate IV in Mental Health, or an equivalent qualification supported by relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build respectful relationships and maintain clear, accurate records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, contribute positively to a team environment and reliably meet rostered commitments and service requirements.
  • Open driver's licence and access to a registered vehicle.
  • Ability to meet and maintain the required criminal history and NDIS worker screening requirements for the role.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is desirable, or a willingness to obtain and maintain these as required.
Why RFQ?

At RFQ, you'll be part of an organisation focused on meaningful support, strong relationships and helping people live the lives they choose. You'll also have access to:

  • $45.28 to $49.41 per hour, including a 25% casual loading where applicable.
  • Salary packaging of up to $15,900 for general living expenses, plus up to $2,650 in annual entertainment benefits, helping you make more of your take home pay.
  • Access to novated leasing through salary packaging.
  • Free Employee Assistance Program for you and your family.
  • Opportunities for ongoing learning, professional development and career growth across RFQ.

Further information about the role can be obtained by contacting the Senior Recovery Support Worker, Julia Fernandez da Cruz, on ************@rfq.com.au or or by viewing the Position Description.
