Job summary

The St Vincent de Paul Society NSW is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for Adele House in Coffs Harbour, NSW, to provide compassionate, person-centred support to residents. You'll assist with entry assessments, support day-to-day needs, and collaborate with our AOD, inclusion and counselling teams to help residents move toward recovery and independence, including night shifts 10.00pm to 6.00am.

Your Role

As a Support Worker at Adele House, you’ll be a key part of the team, helping create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for residents. You’ll support residents with their day-to-day needs, assist with entry assessments and help ensure the smooth operation of the service. Working alongside our AOD casework, inclusion and counselling teams, you’ll contribute to holistic, person-centred support that helps residents move towards their goals.

Your Responsibility
  • Support residents in a respectful and non-judgemental way

  • Support daily operations, activities and accommodation standards

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to team meetings
  • Follow WHS, risk management and safety procedures
You Will Need
  • Availability to work at least 3 active night shifts per week, 10.00pm to 6.00am
  • Cert IV in Community Services or relevant experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound judgement and crisis management skills
  • Good computer literacy and record-keeping skills
  • NSW Driver Licence
