Job summary

Claro Disability Services in Townsville seeks compassionate carers to support clients with complex needs. You will tailor supports to individual goals, assist with daily activities, mobility, and communication, and collaborate with families and healthcare professionals.

What you'll do

• Person-centered planning: Chat with the client (and family/advocates), get the know them and understanding of goals and routines.


• Complex physical care: Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, daily tasks, and devices (wheelchairs, aids, etc.) as outlined in the plan


• Medical supports: Watch for changes, follow med/clinical plans, and liaise with the care team if things shift.


• Social time and participation: Bring meaning, fun, and community access aligned with interests.


• Autonomy and advocacy: Support decision-making, respect consent, boost independence where possible.


• Cultural humility: Respect backgrounds, beliefs, and ways of being
