Job summary

genU in Western Australia is seeking a Support Worker to empower customers with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement, including swimming activities. You’ll work Monday to Friday with some weekend shifts, supporting person-centred plans and daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module required (assistance provided)

Responsibilities

• Support customers with life goals outlined in person-centred plans.
• Assist with daily living activities (meals, housekeeping, personal care, medication administration).
• Ensure adherence to positive behaviour support plans.
• Perform administration duties and mandatory reporting as required

Hourly rate starting: $28.64 to $36.42 + casual loading (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging)

genU is looking for Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement such as swimming.

Good availability is required Monday to Friday + some weekend work.

What you’ll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

• Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
• Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
