Job summary

Northcott is seeking a Casual Support Worker to join our Day Program teams across Skills 4 Life, Life Skills, Work & Study and Adult Recreation Programs in Hornsby, North Rocks, and North Parramatta. You will support customers to build independence, achieve goals and enjoy meaningful community experiences.

Responsibilities include delivering daily activities, encouraging participation, developing skills, and providing person-centred support, including personal care when required.

About The Role

Join our team as a Casual Support Worker across our Skills 4 Life, Life Skills, Work & Study, and Adult Recreation Programs in Hornsby, North Rocks, and North Parramatta. Support our customers to build independence, achieve their goals, and enjoy meaningful community experiences.

• Provide respectful, person-centred support, including personal care where required.
• Safely use manual handling techniques and equipment in accordance with training and best practice.
• Build positive, empowering relationships that support customers in achieving their individual goals and reaching their full potential.

You have a passion for and confidence in facilitating activities, and you enjoy inspiring and engaging others.

• Confidence in facilitating engaging group activities in Skills 4 Life, Life Skills, Work & Study and Adult Recreation Programs.
• Can think creatively and adapt activities to engage customers.
• Ability to think on your feet, remain calm under pressure, and adapt to changing situations.
• Flexible availability to work on a rotating roster and across multiple sites.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confident and comfortable driving a 12-seater van.
• Empathy, reliability, and a genuine commitment to supporting people to live life their way.
