Job summary

Endeavour Foundation on the Gold Coast offers casual and part-time positions across SIL (Supported Independent Living) homes. Roles involve a mix of days, afternoons and sleepover supports, with open availability required.

You’ll empower people with disability to live more independently and engage in daily living activities. Our ideal candidate is calm, compassionate, and professional, with experience supporting individuals with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Availability to work shifts including multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and active overnight supports.
• Hold or be willing to obtain Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Driver's License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Helping people to achieve their NDIS goals by developing important daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social skills and budgeting.
• Assisting with aspects of personal care where required to meet the individual needs of the people we support.
• Supporting with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning and facilitating community connection by socialising and going on outings.
• Providing support during daily activities such as going for a walk, going to the movies or accompanying to an appointment.
• Helping the people we support to maintain a connection to their family, friends, and services.

Job description

We have Casualand Part-time positions available across ourSIL homes in the Gold Coast Region (Both north and South Gold Coast) offering a mix of days, afternoons and sleepover supports.

To be considered for this role, you will be required to have open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts.Make an impact at Endeavour Foundation!

Working within our SIL(Supported Independent Living) homes you will play a vital role in empowering people with disabilities to live independently, build confidence and achieve their goals. Whether supporting people with complex needs or helping someone develop everyday life skills, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine difference every day. No two days will be the same, and you'll be part of a supportive team that values inclusion, respect and person-centred support.

Other key duties will include:

Our Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is a calm, compassionate, and professional Disability Support Worker with experience supporting individuals with complex support needs and behaviours of concern. You will be confident providing personal care and supporting daily living tasks while creating a safe, respectful, and supportive environment. The ability to remain calm under pressure, respond appropriately to challenging situations, and build trusting relationships is essential for success in this role. Most importantly, you are passionate about empowering people with disability to live the life they choose.

We also require:

• A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous.
• Availability to work shifts that may include multiple sleepovers and a variety of shifts across days, evenings, early mornings, weekends, and active overnight supports.
• Good computer skills and experience using Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card), First Aid, CPR, National Criminal History Check (Fit2Work), and an open Drivers License with comprehensive insurance on your vehicle.
