Job summary

genU is seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team in Perth (North Metro) to help customers with disabilities achieve their goals through accommodation and community engagement. The role is permanent part-time with rosters to review and a focus on person-centred support.

The team requires a Certificate III in Disability or similar, NDIS Worker Screening, and a valid driver’s licence; benefits include salary packaging, retailer discounts, and study scholarships.

Responsibilities

genU is looking for experienced Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What You'll Bring

• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
• Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher [CHC33021,CHC33015,CHC43121,CHC43115]

(You'll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate - but don't worry, we'll help guide you through this.)
