Job summary

Northcott is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our Mt Hutton team on a casual basis. You will support people with disability to build independence, wellbeing, and community connection, in a welcoming, community-focused environment.

The role involves personal care, safe manual handling, following care plans, meal support, and enabling participation in everyday activities. We offer growth opportunities and a supportive team that values empathy and respect.

Qualifications

• Flexible across shifts including mornings, afternoons and weekends
• Disability Industry experience; Lived experience of disability valued
• Experience supporting participants with complex care needs e.g. catheter care, bowel care, diabetes management
• Experience in Supported Independent Living and providing personal care
• Experience in managing behaviours of concern, administering medication and manual handling
• Ability to stay calm, think quickly, and provide steady, confident support in challenging situations
• Positive attitude, team spirit, and genuine passion for helping others achieve goals

Responsibilities

• Follow individual care plans to meet health needs such as epilepsy or wound care.
• Prepare meals and assist with mealtimes in line with mealtime management plans.
