Job summary

Point Care Pty Ltd. is seeking compassionate disability support workers in Mackay to provide client support in line with each NDIS plan, assist with daily living activities, transport clients, and deliver respite care.

You will keep accurate records of care plans and progress, communicate effectively with clients, families and the care team, follow health and safety regulations, and participate in ongoing professional development. Day, night, sleepover and weekend shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school or equivalent.
• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (preferred).
• Lived experience or paid experience working with people with disability.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to clients according to their NDIS plan.
• Assist clients with daily living activities (eating, dressing, bathing, grooming).
• Provide transportation assistance to clients.
• Provide respite care to clients and families.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of care plans and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families and care team.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure client safety.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current.

Requirements

• Day shift, night shifts, sleepovers andweekends.
  
• Strongunderstanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
  
• Understanding of health and safetyregulations.
  
• Ability to workwith a diverse client base, understanding the differentsupport needs of clients based on their abilities, culturalbackgrounds, and language requirements.
  
• Basic care and first aid skills.
  
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in microsoftoffice suite.
