Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a casual Support Worker in Jindabyne, NSW. You will assist participants in daily life, personal care, domestic tasks, and community activities, with potential transition to a permanent role based on performance.

Open availability is valued; applicants must have a valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and be prepared to complete pre-employment checks including NDIS screens, police checks and responsive training. Travel beyond town is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields (Desired)
• NDIS Orientation Certificate – free online course
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• National Police Check (completed within the last 12 months) and Working with Children Check
• A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of services to participants to support living a fulfilling life in the community
• Assist with daily life, personal care, domestic activities and social/community participation
• Provide varying skill development activities

Education

Minimum Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields

• SCHADS 2B - $43.08 - 77.54 p/hr (incl. penalty rates) + Super + Salary Packaging!

• This position requires travel with participant outside the town. Therefore, applicants must have access to a reliable personal vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.

You're calm, collected and resilient in the face of adversity and are looking to carry these qualities with you to the front line to start helping those in need. You are an independent, proactive thinker and worker but are also able to follow direction/s given by your managers and can work within a tight-knit team. You may also be required to support the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) program, at the request of your employer.
