Wellways Hobart is offering a full-time mat leave coverage opportunity based in Hobart. You will develop recovery plans with participants and provide direct support to help them engage with services and build long-term support networks to aid their social inclusion.
The role requires tertiary qualifications in a social science or related discipline, experience in mental health, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A valid drivers license and WWC check are also required.

You will utilise this rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of community members. As a program worker, you will work towards recovery through developing individual recovery plans with participants which incorporate individual goals focusing on skill and knowledge development. These will be regularly monitored and updated. To meet the goals identified to ensure social inclusion, you will work to provide direct support to participants.
Wellways offers a range of services to assist participants in their journey to recovery, your role includes encourage participants to use them to achieve their goals. A great part of your role will be working actively with participants to plan their exit from the program and assist in building longer term support networks.
Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will go hand in hand with your demonstrated alignment with Wellways values. You will hold a relevant qualification or demonstrated experience and skills in providing high-quality recovery-orientated services to people experiencing mental health challenges.
