Job summary

Wellways is offering a casual Support Worker opportunity based in Jindabyne, NSW. You will help participants live fulfilling lives in the community, supporting daily living, personal care, domestic tasks and social participation, with travel outside the town required.

Open availability is welcome; you may support the NDIS program. A Certificate III in related fields is preferred, and essential checks and a valid license/vehicle are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge with physical disabilities is advantageous.
• A current valid Driver's License and a registered, insured vehicle.
• National Police Check completed within the last 12 months and Working with Children Check.
• NDIS Orientation Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of services to participants to support them to live a fulfilling and meaningful life in the community.
• Assist with daily life tasks including personal care, domestic activities and social participation.
• Support skill development activities and community engagement.
• Open availability is encouraged, but not essential.

Education

Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields

Exciting casual opportunity based in Jindabyne, NSW SCHADS 2B - $43.08 - 77.54 p/hr (incl. penalty rates) + Super + Salary Packaging! This position requires travel with participant outside the town. Therefore, applicants must have access to a reliable personal vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.

You may also be required to support the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) program, at the request of your employer. • Minimum Certificate 3 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or related fields (Desired, but not essential)
• Applicants having experience and knowledge with physical disabilities will be at an advantage

• National Police Check (completed within the last 12 months) and Working with Children Check
• NDIS Orientation Certificate - free online course
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Manual Handling training would be desired
