Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking casual Support Workers to assist individuals under NDIS plans in Melbourne. You will help with daily living, transport, and social participation as part of a supportive team. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel are essential for regional delivery.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community Care (desirable).
• Right to Work within Australia.
• Current valid drive licence and willingness to undertake travel for work.
• Current Motor Vehicle Insurance.
• Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertake.
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
• Physically capable to deliver personal care to participants.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to achieve personal goals by delivering a wide range of services under their NDIS plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver assistance with daily living, transport, community and social participation and building life skills.
• Travel across Metro Melbourne to deliver services; valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel required.

About The Opportunity

In this meaningful and varied role, you will support individuals to achieve their personal goals by delivering a wide range of services under their NDIS plans, as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team. These services include assistance with daily living, transport, community and social participation and building everyday life skills. Your days may involve outdoor activities, personal care, or helping someone access education, work, or health services. The role involves travelling across Metro Melbourne to deliver support services, so a valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel are essential. We’re particularly looking for team members who can travel to one or more of the Darebin, Boroondara and Whitehorse regions. Flexibility in availability will also be highly regarded.
