Job summary

Wellways Australia is recruiting casual support workers to help individuals achieve personal goals under NDIS plans within a compassionate multidisciplinary team.

You will assist with daily living, transport, and building everyday life skills, including potential outdoor activity and personal care. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Metro Melbourne are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community Care (desirable).
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate is preferred.
• Right to Work within Australia is required.
• Current valid driver license and willingness to travel for work.
• Current Motor Vehicle Insurance required.

• Support individuals to achieve personal goals under NDIS plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver a range of services including daily living, transport, community and social participation, and life skills.
• Travel across Metro Melbourne; willingness to travel essential and flexibility in availability.

About The Opportunity

In this meaningful and varied role, you will support individuals to achieve their personal goals by delivering a wide range of services under their NDIS plans, as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team. These services include assistance with daily living, transport, community and social participation and building everyday life skills. Your days may involve outdoor activities, personal care, or helping someone access education, work, or health services. The role involves travelling across Metro Melbourne to deliver support services, so a valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel are essential. We’re particularly looking for team members who can travel to one or more of the Darebin, Boroondara and Whitehorse regions. Flexibility in availability will also be highly regarded.

You will need:

• Certificate 3 or 4 in Mental Health, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community Care (desirable)
• Right to Work within Australia
• Current valid drive licence and willingness to undertake travel for work
• Current Motor Vehicle Insurance
• Satisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertake
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
• Physically capable to deliver personal care to participants
