Job summary

Wellways Australia Limited is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Worker for a casual role in Young, NSW. You will deliver person-centred support, including overnight and weekend work, within participants' homes to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities include personal care, overnight support, and building trusting relationships. Training is provided; valid working rights in Australia and a current driver's license are required. Applications via email.

Casual role in Young with a variety of shift options to suit your lifestyle! SCHADS Level 2B $46.70 per hour plus penalties + Super + Salary Packaging Make a meaningful difference, one shift at a time with Wellways! Wellways is looking for a compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our supportive team on a casual basis.

About the Role

You will deliver person-centred support to individuals living with disability, ensuring they feel safe, valued and supported in their everyday lives. This role offers a variety of shifts designed to suit your lifestyle, including overnight and weekend work, while providing 24/7 care to participants in their home environment.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing respectful personal care and daily living support
  • Supporting participant overnight to ensure comfort and safety
  • Building trusting, caring relationships through consistent and compassionate support
About You

You bring a caring and compassionate approach to supporting people with disability and are reliable, dependable and committed to consistently showing up for participants. You are comfortable working overnight and weekend shifts and have a genuine willingness to learn, with training provided. Any previous experience you may have either working with or those shaped by your own life experiences are highly valued, these can also include those of a carer/parent, if this sounds like you, we have the perfect opportunity right here, with us.

Pre-employment requirements:

  • Minimum Qualification in Individual support/Community Services is desirable
  • Evidence of working rights within Australia such as a passport or birth certificate
  • A current valid Driver's License and an insured and registered vehicle
