Job summary

Wellways Australia is seeking a CDS Support Worker to assist participants with activities of daily living, including personal care, domestic tasks, and mobility, delivering compassionate, person-centred support in the community.

You will work on the front line of Consumer Directed Services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure individual needs are met and supported to lead meaningful lives.

Qualifications

• Must have full driver’s license and access to own vehicle
• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (advantage) or relevant experience
• Satisfactory Police Records Check (less than 12 months old)
• NSW Working with Children Check
• Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of services to support participants' activities of daily living including personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobility
• Support participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives through front-line Consumer Directed Services
• Assist with companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic tasks and medication management
• Actively contribute to continuous improvement of care provided to participants

• Casual Job located at North shore/Northern beaches NSW
• $46.70 p/hr (SCHADS - Level 2.2 B) + Super + Salary packaging benefits up to $15,899 per annum.

Wellways is excited to offer the position of Support Worker, this role will suit someone who enjoys interacting and supporting our participants with daily activities.

In this role you will work on the front line of our Consumer Directed Services, delivering a wide range of services to support participants activities of daily living such as personal care, domestic assistance, continence management, feeding and mobilising. This role requires you will work closely with the person to ensure their individual needs are met.

Support Workers are the front line of our Consumer Directed Services programs, providing consumers with the personalised support to assist our participants to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

Your varied day may include providing support with activities of daily living such as companionship, transport, shopping, meal preparation, domestic assistance and medication management. An essential element of your role is that you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of care provided to participants.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services or related fields (an advantage but not mandatory) or relevant experience

• Preferred applicants with flexible availability and willingness to do sleepover shifts/work weekends/early morning shifts/broken shifts
• Satisfactory Police Records Check [less than 12 months old]
