Job summary

genU is seeking Casual Support Workers to assist customers with disabilities across accommodation and community engagement in Busselton, WA. You’ll help deliver person-centred plans and support daily living needs with dignity.

Hourly Rate Range: $27.75 to $36.42 (plus Super plus NFP Salary Packaging) + 25% casual loading

genU is looking for Casual Support Workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement.

We currently have several immediate casual opportunities available, with anticipated hours of 20+ per week and the potential to transition to permanent employment.

What you’ll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them;
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting and medication administration;
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• Ability to manage complex or difficult situations as they arise with patience and maturity;
• Previous experience with medication administration, manual handling and supporting individuals with high and complex care needs;
• Significant experience providing personal care and domestic assistance while maintaining dignity, choice and independence;
• Cert III in Disability, Individual Support or higher (or working towards one)
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate).
• (You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
