Job summary

Centacare Brisbane seeks dedicated staff for part-time roles delivering domestic assistance, personal care, and social support to aged care clients across Brisbane North locations. Shifts occur 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with travel between multiple clients.

Role focuses on compassionate, independent support, including meals, cleaning, and companionship, in a values-driven workplace. Applicants should have Certificate III or higher and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support or related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to obtain Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal prep).
• Provide personal care and support daily routines.
• Offer social and recreational support and accompany clients on outings.
• Transport clients to appointments using your own vehicle.
• Run errands and provide general support to enhance quality of life.

Hours

We are currently seeking candidates available for 25 hours per week

Availability

You must be available from Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm

Shifts

Typically, 1–3 hours per client, with travel between multiple clients throughout the day

Renumeration

Level 3 $36.23 /hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging up to $18,550 + Paid travel time + Kilometers reimbursement + Paid training + EAP.

Shift Type

60% or more of your shifts will involve Domestic Assistance, along with Social Support and Personal Care, supporting Aged Care clients

Your Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Providing personal care and supporting clients with daily routines
• Offering social and recreational support, from friendly conversations to accompanying clients on community outings
• Transporting clients safely to appointments or social activities using your own vehicle
• Running errands and providing general support to enhance clients’ quality of life

About you

• Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Community Services or a related field
• A genuine passion for supporting people to live independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Caring, reliable and respectful, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Confident driving and willing to travel to suburbs within the Brisbane North area
• Confident in supporting clients living with dementia

Essential to have

• Australian Working Rights
• Current Australian Driver Licence – Open or Green P Plates.
• Current Queensland motor vehicle registration, access to a reliable, insured roadworthy vehicle

Willing to obtain

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
• National Police Check
• First Aid and CPR
