Job summary

Centacare Catholic Family Service in Brisbane’s northern suburbs seeks Permanent Part-Time Support Workers to provide in-home, person-centred care. Shifts involve domestic assistance, social support and personal care with 35–40 hours per fortnight and Wednesday availability.

Roles offer salary packaging and travel/km reimbursement, with a focus on dignity and independence for clients. Ideal candidates hold a Certificate III or higher in related fields or have relevant support experience, drivers

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Community Services or a related field; or have experience in support work, cleaning, hospitality or similar roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
• Support clients to maintain independence and achieve personal goals.
• Facilitate social and community participation through companionship and outings.
• Transport clients and assist with shopping, errands and appointments using your own vehicle.
• Build respectful relationships while promoting dignity, privacy and independence.
