Job summary

Growing Daily Disability Services is expanding and we’re hiring casual Support Workers across the Gold Coast and Brisbane. We value choice and aim to tailor supports to each participant’s goals and preferences.

As a Support Worker you’ll assist with personal care, meal prep, transportation to activities and community participation, while building confidence and independence for participants. We’re looking for reliable, compassionate people with a willingness to learn, who can adapt to different

Qualifications

• Natural ability to care for and connect with people.
• Patience, empathy and respect.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and National Police Check.
• Australian driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, showering, dressing and grooming.
• Support meal preparation and domestic tasks.
• Provide medication prompts per plan.
• Drive participants to appointments, activities or social outings.
• Support participants at social or community activities.
• Help build everyday skills toward personal goals.
• Provide companionship during shifts.
• Complete shift notes for the team.

Support Workers Wanted | Across Gold Coast & Brisbane

Growing Daily Disability Services is expanding and we're looking for Support Workers to join our team across the Gold Coast and Brisbane.

At Growing Daily, we believe disability support should fit around each person — not the person around the service. Our participant's have choice and control over their supports and we take the time to understand their values, wants, needs and goals. We're flexible, we listen and we adapt, because no two people are the same. We want Support Workers who can do the same.

About the role

This is a casual position with flexible shifts and immediate starts available. We're hiring now — and because our team and services are continuing to grow, we're also building an ongoing pool of great Support Workers, so there's genuine scope for regular work beyond this initial round.

What a day in this role looks like

No two shifts are the same, because no two participants are the same — but on a typical day you might:

Assist with personal care, such as showering, dressing and grooming, with dignity and respect

Support with meal preparation and everyday domestic tasks around the home

Provide medication prompts in line with a participant's support plan

Drive participants to appointments, activities or social outings in the community

Support participants at social, recreational or community activities they enjoy

Help build everyday skills and confidence towards a participant's personal goals

Provide companionship and a friendly, familiar face during the shift

Complete simple shift notes so the rest of the team stays in the loop

What you'll need

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one)

National Police Check

Current Australian driver's license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle

Current First Aid and CPR certificate

Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or currently working towards one)

Pay

SCHADS Award casual rates, approximately $36–$45 per hour depending on qualifications and experience, plus casual loading.
