Job summary

Clairvaux MacKillop College, MT GRAVATT, within Brisbane Catholic Education, invites applications for two Support Teacher: Inclusive Education positions to advance learning for all students. Additional teaching areas in Religion and/or English are preferred.

Responsibilities include creating a nurturing classroom, developing inclusive programs, coordinating Personalised Support Plans, and collaborating with staff, families, and the wider community to support student outcomes in a faith-centered

Qualifications

• Knowledge of educational policies, practices, and strategies that support students with disabilities.
• Curriculum development and adaptation for diverse student needs.
• Understanding of NCCD processes and evidence collection.
• Effective classroom management for a nurturing learning environment.
• Ability to engage with the wider community and external stakeholders.
• Catholic ethos alignment may be required.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing, learner-centred classroom environment aligned with curriculum policies for students with a disability.
• Collaboratively develop inclusive education practices, programs, and pedagogy; assess and report student progress.
• Implement adaptive, inclusive teaching strategies and adjust learning plans.
• Oversee Personalised Support Plans and ensure documentation for NCCD timelines.
• Engage in professional renewal and contribute to school leadership and Catholic community life.
