Job summary

Symes Thorpe Residential Aged Care Home in Toowoomba is seeking a Casual Support Services Worker (Kitchen) to work afternoons and evenings. You will assist the cook with meal preparation and serving for residents, and help with cleaning designated kitchen areas.

This role requires flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, and holds mandatory checks such as National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Check.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
• Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) or relevant (desirable).
• Open to working a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cook/chef in the preparation and serving of meals for residents.
• Clean designated kitchen utensils and areas according to the cleaning schedule.
• Support a safe home-like environment and uphold residents' dignity and privacy.

The responsibility of our Support Services Worker (Kitchen) is to assist the cook/chef in the preparation and serving of meals for residents.

This role is also responsible for the cleaning of designated kitchen utensils and areas, in accordance with the prescribed cleaning schedule.

These roles in conjunction with other roles in the facility, encourage physical and social independence, support a safe home-like environment and safeguards the dignity and privacy of residents.

Mandatory requirements:

• Current National Police Check
• Current NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Worker Screening Clearance
• Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) or relevant (desirable)
• Open to working a 24/7 rotating roster including working on weekends and public holidays as required.
