Job summary

Yackandandah Health is seeking experienced and passionate Support Services Workers for Cleaning and Laundry roles at our facility in Yackandandah, VIC. This casual position offers a wide range of availabilities and is essential for maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards across the site.

You will join a Not-for-Profit environment with salary packaging options, overtime, leave loading, parental leave, onsite parking, EAP, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting (desirable).
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold NDIS Worker Screening Check (mandatory).
• Understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain legislated safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms and living areas.
• Clean communal and dining areas.
• Sort and launder laundry.
• Ensure supplies of toilet paper, soap and cleaning items.
• Follow infection control and WHS requirements, including chemical handling.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Provide ad hoc support to the broader team as required.

The Role

We are currently seeking experienced and passionate

Support Services Workers to join our team in Cleaning and Laundry roles at our facility in Yackandandah, VIC. This is a Casual role with a wide range of availabilities to suit your lifestyle. These positions are essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility.

What you will do (Cleaning & Laundry)

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards
• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas
• Cleaning communal and dining areas
• Cleaning and sorting laundry
• Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.
• Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules
• Completing required documentation and reporting
• Ad hoc support to the broader team as required

What you will bring

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting (desirable)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Hold NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain - mandatory)
• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
