Job summary

Yackandandah Health in Victoria is seeking casual Support Services Workers for Cleaning and Laundry at our facility in Yackandandah. The roles are essential to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the campus and offer a wide range of availabilities to suit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in cleaning or laundry in aged care is desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain legislated safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms and living areas.
• Clean communal and dining areas.
• Sort and launder laundry.
• Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies.
• Adhere to infection control principles and WHS requirements and complete schedules.
• Complete required documentation and reporting.
• Provide ad hoc support to the broader team as required.

The Role

We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Support Services Workers to join our team in Cleaning and Laundry roles at our facility in Yackandandah, VIC. This is a Casual role with a wide range of availabilities to suit your lifestyle. These positions are essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility.

What you will do (Cleaning & Laundry)

• Maintaining legislated safety, quality, and hygiene standards


• Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and living areas


• Cleaning communal and dining areas


• Cleaning and sorting laundry


• Maintaining adequate supplies of toilet paper, soap, and other cleaning and hygiene supplies for resident use.


• Adhering to infection control principles, WHS requirements including the safe storage and use of chemicals and complete cleaning requirements according to facility schedules


• Completing required documentation and reporting


• Ad hoc support to the broader team as required

What you will bring

• Experience gained in a similar role, preferably within an Aged Care setting (desirable)


• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills


• Hold NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain - mandatory)


• An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards, and Outcomes is highly regarded but not essential
