Job summary

Selectability in Mount Isa is seeking a Support Coordinator to help participants navigate the NDIS, interpret their packages, and connect them with the right services. You will empower participants to make choices and coordinate supports across government, community, and clinical providers.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a commitment to best practices, with the flexibility to work in diverse communities. This is a permanent part-time position based in Mount Isa.

Job Description

As a Support Coordinator you will work closely with participants to navigate the NDIS and interpret their individual packages; it is your role to ensure they are getting the most out of their NDIS plans.

  • supporting and empowering participants to make their own choices as to how they want to lead their lives
  • coordinating a variety of services for participants to support them to live fulfilling and meaningful lives within the community
  • engage with and managing participants key stakeholders (including government agencies, community and clinical service providers and families), you will ensure that the supports and services are leveraged, not duplicated
  • working with participants to strengthen their ability to coordinate their own supports to live their best life

selectability is a not-for-profit charity with a primary focus of improving mental wellbeing and contributing to suicide prevention across regional Queensland.

About the Candidate

Role Requirements
  • certificate IV in Mental Health (desirable)
  • a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence
  • a currently registered, roadworthy, and fully comprehensive insured vehicle
  • first Aid and CPR certificates (ability to obtain)
  • a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
Work Environment

This is a permanent part- time position based in Mount Isa.
