Job summary

Supply Chain Planner - Food Manufacturing role based at the Brisbane production kitchen. You will connect demand, production, procurement and dispatch, owning forecasting, scheduling and inventory systems to ensure the right product is made and delivered on time.

Key duties include weekly demand forecasting, supplier data management, and ensuring food safety documentation is up to date while driving process improvements across inventory and ecommerce systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand planning, scheduling or supply chain coordination in FMCG or multi-site production.
• Track record of accurate forecasting and improving forecast performance.
• Procurement experience including raising POs and supplier pricing data.
• Knowledge of dispatch and freight coordination across temperature ranges.
• Strong analytical skills and data accuracy.
• Collaborative, hands-on approach and ability to build relationships.

About the Business

This is an opportunity to join one of Australia’s fastest-growing premium food brands. Our client is known for their products, a loyal customer following and a strong focus on quality and customer experience. The business runs a central production kitchen supplying a national retail network and a growing ecommerce channel, and it is scaling quickly. Zest People is managing this recruitment on our client’s behalf.

About the Role

Based at the production kitchen in Brisbane and reporting to the Production Manager, you will connect demand, production, procurement and dispatch. You will own the forecasting, scheduling and inventory systems the business runs on, so the right product is made, bought and delivered at the right time.

• Demand Planning & Forecasting: Own stock counts and the forecasting model to deliver weekly orders and production scheduling forecasts;
• Procurement Data & Pricing Analysis: Maintain ingredient, supplier and pricing data, and recommend cost savings to Finance;
• Production Administration: Keep production records, supplier files and food safety documentation accurate, and log and elevate incidents;
• Inventory Systems & Integration: Own and integrate inventory and ecomm systems across physical sites, ecommerce and production;
• Business Process & Systems Review: Drive process improvements and maintain SOPs for the systems you own.

About You

If you love turning data into decisions and keeping a production operation running smoothly, you will bring:

• Experience in demand planning, production scheduling or supply chain coordination within food or beverage manufacturing, FMCG or multi-site production;
• A track record of accurate forecasting and improving forecast performance over time;
• Procurement experience, including raising POs, negotiating with suppliers and maintaining pricing records;
• Working knowledge of dispatch and freight coordination, ideally across multiple temperature ranges (fresh, frozen and ambient);
• Strong analytical skills, sharp attention to data accuracy, and confidence working across inventory, procurement and work management systems;
• A collaborative, hands-on approach and the ability to build strong relationships across production, retail, finance and suppliers;
• A commitment to food safety, privacy and workplace safety, and a willingness to pitch in across a fast-paced business;
• A highly analytical and collaborative approach, with a genuine commitment to quality, customer service and integrity.
