Job summary

Private Advertiser in Melbourne’s western suburbs seeks a pro with production planning and scheduling experience in food manufacturing to own the site production plan and lead the warehouse team. You will drive demand forecasting, align capacity, and manage stock and outbound delivery performance to DIFOT targets.

You will also play a pivotal role in selecting and implementing a new planning system, and contribute to safety, continuous improvement, and site performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Production planning and scheduling experience in food or FMCG manufacturing.
• Demand planning experience, ideally within an S&OP process.
• Experience leading warehouse teams and supervisors.
• Strong ERP skills (NetSuite highly regarded) and advanced Excel; planning system implementation experience highly regarded.
• Experience applying Lean methods highly regarded.
• Working knowledge of HACCP, GMP and OHS.

• Work with Sales, Customer Service and operational leadership to build and challenge the demand forecast.
• Own stock accuracy, receiving standards and date control.
• Lead warehouse and outward-goods performance, including load accuracy, DIFOT and space management.
• Lead and develop the Warehouse Supervisor and team, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
• Act as a core member of the project team selecting and implementing a new planning system.

Job description

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will own supply planning for the site. That means turning demand into an achievable production plan, deciding what is made when, and making sure stock, warehouse and outward goods deliver it. You will lead the warehouse team. You will also play a key role in selecting and implementing a new demand forecasting and production scheduling system.
