Job summary

Varsity Midland is seeking a capable supervisor to lead a busy hospitality shift in Melbourne. You will manage the team, deliver excellent guest experiences across food, beverage and entertainment, and help maintain standards.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, leadership ability, and RSA certification (or willingness to obtain). Availability across nights, weekends and public holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality and busy service environments.
• Proven ability to lead a team and energise shifts.
• RSA certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew and ensure shifts run smoothly.
• Deliver guest experiences across food, beverage and entertainment.
• Coach, train and support your team.
• Monitor service, safety and venue standards.
• Resolve on-shift issues and maintain composure.
• Collaborate with management to open Varsity Midland successfully.

About Us

Founded by three mates in 2013, Varsity has grown from your favourite student bar in to an entertainment hub! Serving up tasty burgers, saucy wings and cold beers across 9 venues in Perth, we've now levelled up in to the arcade and bowling sphere!

Now we take over Melbourne, opening our first East Coast venue in Ringwood.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the crew and keeping shifts running smoothly
• Delivering epic guest experiences across food, bev and entertainment
• Coaching, training and supporting your team
• Keeping an eye on service, safety and venue standards
• Solving the occasional “well, this wasn’t in the training manual” situation
• Working alongside the management team to make Varsity Midland the place to be

Who we’re looking for

You might already be a Supervisor, or you might be a hospo gun ready to step into leadership.

Either way, we’re looking for someone who:

• Has hospitality experience and knows what a busy service looks like
• Can lead a team and bring good energy to a shift
• Is confident making decisions when the pressure is on
• Actually enjoys working with people
• Is available across nights, weekends and public holidays
• Has an RSA or is willing to obtain one
