Job summary

Varsity Midland invites you to join the opening leadership team, shaping a new venue with energy and guest-centric service. You’ll guide a team through busy nights, training and coaching staff while upholding safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates bring hospitality experience, a proven ability to lead under pressure, and a positive, proactive attitude. RSA or willingness to obtain one is required; availability includes nights, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience and understanding of a busy service.
• Ability to lead a team and bring energy to a shift.
• Confident making decisions under pressure and enjoys working with people.
• RSA certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew and keep shifts running smoothly.
• Deliver epic guest experiences across food, bev and entertainment.
• Coach, train and support the team.
• Monitor service, safety and venue standards.
• Handle unexpected situations calmly and effectively.
• Collaborate with management to build Varsity Midland culture.

Founded by three mates in 2013, Varsity has grown from your favourite student bar in to an entertainment hub! Serving up tasty burgers, saucy wings and cold beers across 9 venues in Perth, we've now levelled up in to the arcade and bowling sphere!

Now we take over Melbourne, opening our first East Coast venue in Ringwood.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the crew and keeping shifts running smoothly
• Delivering epic guest experiences across food, bev and entertainment
• Coaching, training and supporting your team
• Keeping an eye on service, safety and venue standards
• Solving the occasional “well, this wasn’t in the training manual” situation
• Working alongside the management team to make Varsity Midland the place to be

Who we’re looking for:

You might already be a Supervisor, or you might be a hospo gun ready to step into leadership.

Either way, we’re looking for someone who:

• Has hospitality experience and knows what a busy service looks like
• Can lead a team and bring good energy to a shift
• Is confident making decisions when the pressure is on
• Actually enjoys working with people
• Is available across nights, weekends and public holidays
• Has an RSA or is willing to obtain one
