Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Site Supervisor for civil contracting projects in the Sydney metro area, focusing on Utility or transport works. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of civil supervision experience, especially on Sydney Water pipelines and drainage projects, with a solid grasp of earthworks and road construction.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage site personnel, plant and contractors to deliver works on schedule, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years civil construction supervision experience on Sydney Water projects
• Intermediate survey skills and ability to read drawings
• Understanding of earthworks, road construction, underground services, sewers and drainage
• OH&S and environmental control implementation
• Permanent Australian working rights

We have a requirement for a Site Supervisor to join a privately owned civil contracting company who specialise in the construction of Utility or transport projects within the Sydney metro areas.

We have a requirement for a Site Supervisor to join a privately owned civil contracting company who specialise in the construction of Utility or transport projects within the Sydney metro areas. This is a growth opportunity within a busy part of the civil construction industry. Our client is keen to speak to candidates with experience working on road projects and an understanding of earthworks, road construction, underground services, sewers and drainage.

This role is suitable for candidates already working as a Civil Site Supervisor who are looking for the next step in their career.

Duties

Reporting to the Project Manager you shall be responsible for the Supervision and management of all site personnel & plant, as well as the management of all sub-contractors to ensure construction activities are completed according to the construction program. All tasks are to be completed to the highest possible standard and performed in a safe manner.

Candidate Criteria

• Minimum 5 years civil construction supervision experience in Sydney Water projects
• Intermediate Survey skills
• Working knowledge of Sydney water projects specially Pipeline construction.
• Plant and equipment knowledge
• Understanding of machinery capabilities
• Understanding and Implementation of OH&S and Environmental controls and work practices
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Construction white card
• Drivers Licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• Permanent Australian working rights.
