Job summary

Engineering Trades Australia is seeking a qualified Mechanical Supervisor for a rostered refinery maintenance role at Ampol Lytton Refinery, Brisbane. You will supervise mechanical crews, coordinate across the site, and ensure work is carried out safely and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has strong supervisory experience in heavy industry, relevant trade qualifications, and ability to pass site medicals and background checks.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification and/or tickets relevant to mechanical supervision.
• Experience in shutdown, refinery, oil & gas, mining, power or heavy industrial.
• Strong supervisory experience.
• Construction White Card.
• Welding/hot works tickets and competencies where applicable.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
• Ability to complete Ampol site requirements and background checks.
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical crews and coordinate works across the refinery.

The Opportunity

• Location: Ampol Lytton Refinery, Brisbane
• Start: Earliest induction Tuesday next week
• Duration: Through to approximately end of September / early October
• Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm
• Roster: 6 days per week
• Paid: 12 hours per shift
• Day shift: $92.01/hr flat rate
• Night shift: 25% additional loading
• Accommodation: May be available for eligible candidates
• LAHA: $70/day for eligible candidates to cover meals and incidentals

Mechanical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor with a strong heavy industrial, refinery, shutdown or maintenance background.
You will be responsible for supervising mechanical crews and coordinating works across the refinery, ensuring activities are completed safely, efficiently and to schedule.

What You'll Need

• Relevant trade qualification and/or tickets
• Previous shutdown, refinery, oil & gas, mining, power or heavy industrial experience
• Strong supervisory experience for the Mechanical Supervisor position
• Construction White Card
• Relevant welding/hot works tickets and competencies where applicable
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Ability to complete Ampol site requirements and background checks
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic

Drive-in is preferred, however accommodation and LAHA may be available depending on your circumstances and location.
