Job summary

JobAdder Operations Pty invites energetic Mechanical Fitters to join a shutdown project in South Australia. Your responsibilities include mechanical maintenance, repairs, inspections and related shutdown activities within a heavy industrial processing plant.

Eligible candidates must hold a Cert III trade certificate – Mechanical fitter, and have confined spaces, working at heights, a White card and a valid driver's licence.

Qualifications

• Cert III trade certificate – Mechanical fitter.
• Must have confined spaces training.
• Must have white card and valid driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs and inspections during shutdown.
• Perform safety and compliance checks in a heavy industrial plant.
• Work within a fast-paced shutdown team to meet on-site targets.
• Coordinate with site personnel to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Mechanical maintenance work on a lead processing plant based in South Australia. Must be located in SA to be considered for this role

Mechanical Fitter | Shutdown | South Australia

SHUTDOWN | $65–$74.75/HR + SUPER | 12-HOUR SHIFTS

South Australian candidates only – no interstate applicants will be considered.

4 positions available:

• 2 x Mechanical Fitters – Day Shift
• 2 x Mechanical Fitters – Night Shift

Qualifications needed:

• Cert III trade certificate - Mechanical fitter
• Confined spaces
• Working at heights
• White card
• Drivers licence

What’s on offer:

• Day Shift: $65/hr + Super
• Night Shift: $74.75/hr + Super
• PAID 12-hour shifts
• Start: 7 October 2026
• Finish: 10 October 2026
• Travel to site: 6 October 2026
• Travel from site: 11 October 2026
• Short-term shutdown opportunity

Important Site Requirements Due to the nature of the work in a lead processing environment, successful candidates must:

• Complete required lead exposure testing on site
• Be cleanly shaven every day for respiratory protection requirements
• Be comfortable working within a lead processing environment
• Follow all site health, safety and environmental requirements
• Successfully complete the required site medical and drug & alcohol screening

The Role You will be part of a shutdown maintenance team carrying out mechanical maintenance, repairs, inspections and general shutdown activities within a heavy industrial processing facility.

This is a short-term opportunity suited to experienced Mechanical Fitters who can hit the ground running and work safely in a demanding industrial environment.
