Coates is seeking a Yard Supervisor at the Hume branch in Canberra. You will lead a small team of yard personnel to ensure a safe, well–organised yard and accurate daily scheduling, coordinating forklift movements and customer-facing tasks.

Ideal candidates have current forklift and driving licenses, a strong safety mindset and proven leadership experience, with a focus on timely, quality outcomes in a busy equipment yard.

Qualificações

• Forklift operation experience and license.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access.
• Proven safety-conscious approach to yard operations.
• Experience leading a small team in a yard or similar environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of 7 yardpersons to keep the yard safe, tidy and well maintained.
• Coordinate daily schedules and ensure work is completed within the yard and externally.
• Act as main spotter for tuck and forklift movements around the yard.
• Coordinate basic repairs and liaise with suppliers.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and colleagues.

Here’s how you’ll be a part of our team

• Monday to Friday 38 hour week

Based at our Hume branch, you'll be leading a small team of 7 Yardpersons in keeping our busy yard safe, coordinated and well maintained, ensuring buildings and equipment in the yard are tidy, clean and organised.

Your Typical Day Will Focus On

• Demonstrate a safety-first attitude and provide a continuous improvement focus for the team
• Main spotter for tuck and forklift movements around the yard
• Ensuring daily schedules are managed and achieved for work in and out of the yard
• Coordinating basic repairs for the branch and liaison with a range of suppliers
• Clear and open communication with customers and colleagues
• Sign-off and checking the quality of buildings before they leave the yard
