Bravus Mining and Resources is seeking a Superintendent – Mining to lead production teams at Carmichael Mine. You will drive safe, efficient operations on an 8 days on/6 days off, dayshift roster, ensuring production targets, quality and cost objectives are achieved.
The role requires open cut mining leadership, strong coaching ability, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with maintenance, CHPP and planning teams. Queensland certifications and a valid class C licence are essential.
Bravus Mining and Resources’ Carmichael mine is an open cut thermal coal mine in the North Galilee Basin, approximately 160 kilometres northwest of the town of Clermont.
Carmichael produces more than 12 million tonnes of thermal coal for the export market each year.
More than 1400 people are engaged in permanent roles at Carmichael and workers travel to site on direct flights from Townsville, Rockhampton, Cairns, or Mackay (a flight time of approximately 55 minutes). Those team members who live in the Isaac region have the option to drive-in and drive-out with individual travel and fatigue management plans in place.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, the Superintendent - Mining will lead production teams and resources to deliver safe, efficient and continuous mining operations at Carmichael Mine.
This role is responsible for achieving production, quality and cost targets through visible safety leadership, effective resource planning and close collaboration with Maintenance, CHPP, Planning and Technical Services.
This role operates on an 8 days on, 6 days off dayshift-only roster (8/6).
