Job summary

Macmahon is expanding across the East Coast, supporting major open cut operations in Queensland. On site at Byerwen, you will join a skilled team operating dump trucks, graders, dozers and loaders to meet production targets. We value safety, reliability and teamwork as core to our Winning Values.

This role supports a stable, long-term project with modern equipment. Stand 11 and coal board medical are beneficial but not required, and on-site duties foster a strong crew culture.

Qualifications

• Experience operating mining heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to speak up on hazards.
• Team mindset and reliable work ethic.
• Commitment to contributing to a positive culture.
• Current Stand 11 and Coal board medical is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Safe, efficient operation of CAT D10/D11, CAT 24M, CAT 992, CAT 794.
• Complete pre-starts and report hazards or defects immediately.
• Follow plans, instructions and traffic management rules.
• Maintain a tidy work area and support safe interactions with all teams.

Macmahon Surface Mining Australia is expanding across the East Coast, supporting major open cut operations throughout Queensland and New South Wales.

Byerwen is a high performing open cut coal operation in the Bowen Basin, known for its strong safety culture and consistent production. As part of the Macmahon team on site, you'll be joining a stable, well supported workforce with modern equipment and long term project security.

About the Role

You'll work within a skilled and experienced team, operating dump trucks, graders, dozers, loaders to safely meet production targets across our Surface operation at Byerwen.
