Downer is seeking an experienced HV Substation Electrician for permanent full-time work in Sydney's northern beaches region. The role focuses on brownfield HV switchyard construction, covering primary HV and secondary systems within a small, skilled team.

Qualifications

• Must hold NSW Electrical Licence.
• Experience with primary HV and secondary systems installation.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• HRW licence (EWP/Forklift/Telehandler) desirable.
• High Risk Work licences and safety certifications preferred.
• Working at Heights and Confined Space training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction of HV switchyards on brownfield projects.
• Work on transmission substations covering primary HV and secondary systems.
• Collaborate with a small, skilled team and follow safety procedures.
• Operate on a 5/2 roster and contribute to project delivery.

About the Role

We have multiple opportunities for experienced Electricians to join our Energy & Utilities team, working on the construction of HV switchyards at our Belrose project in Sydney's northern beaches region. As part of a small, skilled team, you'll be involved in brownfield works on transmission substations, covering both primary HV and secondary systems. This role is based on a 5/2 roster.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current NSW Electrical Licence
• A strong background in primary HV and secondary systems installation.
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• A current driver's licence
• High Risk Work (HRW) licence - EWP and/or Forklift, Telehandler.
• Working at Heights & Confined Space certifications (highly desirable)
• First Aid & CPR/LVR certifications
• Construction White Card
• A strong commitment to our Zero Harm safety culture
