Job summary

Hassell Melbourne Studio is seeking a Studio Accountant to manage the Australian business finances, reporting to the Australian Finance Manager. You will oversee day-to-day finances, month-end close, and project accounting for the Melbourne discipline.

You will partner with studio leadership to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting and regulatory compliance, while supporting internal teams and external auditors as required.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or related discipline.
• 5–7 years' experience in a similar role, preferably with international exposure.
• Experience with ERP accounting systems and MS Dynamics 365; CPA/CA in progress advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finances of the Melbourne studio and implement month-end reporting.
• Budgeting, forecasting, and monthly revenue recognition with project leaders.
• Manage debtors, WIP, invoices, and cash receipts with credit control.
• Monitor forecasting with Principals/Team Leaders and support audits.
• Liaise with external auditors and maintain payroll timesheets and costs.
