Job summary

Bray Park State High School, part of the Queensland Department of Education, is seeking a School Support Officer to contribute to student engagement and wellbeing within a supportive learning environment.

You will build positive relationships with students, monitor attendance and behaviour, support programs, and help maintain high standards of conduct and safety on campus. A current Working with Children Check is essential, along with strong communication and proactive teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, with sound judgment when working with young people.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervising students in programs developed with Heads of Year and teachers.
• Monitor and evaluate programs to support student outcomes.
• Refer students to school support services as required.
• Maintain security and order during bus duty, grounds patrols, and escorting students to class.
